Romania’s “New Materials, Micro and Nanotechnologies –MATNANTECH”
programme results from the Romanian strategy for innovation, that has
14 technology areas that shall be supported. One of them is the
materials and nanotechnology area. This dedicated programme is -
uniquely in Eastern Europe - structured in complete compliance with a
classical programme-owner/programme- manager structure. While Romanian
MNT research and development institutions are well integrated into
European networks, the co-ordination of the support schemes is a
necessary and beneficial complement.
The programme is the Romanian Support initiative for MN Technologies.
It is managed by the Polytechnics Universitay of Bucharest. Programme
owner is the Romanian Ministry for Education and Research.
