Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (Vinnova)
VINNOVA is the government agency managing and executing programmes for public funding of needs-driven research and technology development (excluding programmes in the energy and environment areas). Hence, management of programmes for public funding is a core competence for VINNOVA. Several programmes have been executed within Micro/Nano-technologies in the recent past, e.g. in the fields of microelectronics and functional materials. The programme, about to be launched, proposed for participation in the MNT-ERA-NET is tentatively entitled Materials Design, including Nanomaterials and is planned to start 01.01.2005. There is an obvious added value for the programme management to be able to share experiences from other participants regarding design and management of similar programmes.
