Phases of R&D being funded (basic research, pre-competitive, application, serial production, market entry), funding rates (app.)
The pre-competitive and application phases are fully supported. The
basic research and serial production could be funded when they are
complementary phases of the pre-competitive and application phases.
Loans for SMEs (at rate zero with refunding if success).
Funding rate: up to 60% of the expected costs for SMEs.
Major restrictions (e.g. types of institutions eligible for funding; SMEs, public/private etc., openness to transnational consortia)
Openness to trans-national consortia
Types of institutions eligible for funding:
1) National SME up to 2000 people
2) National academic lb if it is partner of a consurtium including a
national SME
3) Foreign SME when it is sub-contractor
Types of institutions NOT eligible for funding: national and foreign
large industry.
