b) Please add b) c) etc. if necessary!

Phases of R&D being funded (basic research, pre-competitive, application, serial production, market entry), funding rates (app.):

  • Applied research is funded. The programme is clearly oriented to Industry (SMEs), though Research Centres and Universities may act as subcontractors in projects.

  • Types of costs being eligible for receiving funds are: Man-hours for research, Depreciation of equipment, Travels (of the project), and subcontracting, expenses for lab materials, disposables, etc.

  • A maximum of 250.000 euros per year and participant is funded.

Major restrictions (e.g. types of institutions eligible for funding; SMEs, public/private etc., openness to transnational consortia):

  • There is a restriction for Research Centres and Universities because they are not eligible to receive a direct subsidise from the programme. Only by subcontracting.
