Description of the process
Project Idea
Before submitting a proposal, all projected project partners must contact their respective regional/national funding agency in order to discuss the project setup and the funding conditions.
If you are interested in finding project partners, please contact your funding agency.
Submit Pre-Proposal
A pre-proposal is mandatory. It has to be submitted through an online application form. It gives an overview on the research work planned, the consortium participants, the resources/funding required, and on the benefit to be expected for each participant from transnational co-operation.
Pre-Proposal Check
A transnational team of evaluators assesses the pre-proposal and agrees on a recommendation for submitting a full proposal. Applicants may expect feedback within 3 weeks from the deadline of pre-proposals. This feedback is given to the proposed co-ordinator of the project.
Parallel Submission of Full-Proposal and Regional/National Application Form
The full proposal must be submitted to each of the involved agencies, usually together with the regional/national funding applications. Please note that in some cases regional/national deadlines have to be considered.
Regional/National Evaluation
The regional/national agencies carry out their own evaluation based on the full proposal and the respective regional/national funding applications.
Coordination Meeting of the Agencies
A transnational team of evaluators takes all regional/national results into consideration and agrees on a common ranking list containing all proposals which are recommended for funding.
Coherent Regional/National Funding Decisions
The regional/national agencies make the final funding decision.
