Other ERA NETs on Industrial Technologies:

MATERA : The MATERA ERA-NET promotes European cooperation between national and regional programmes on the material science and engineering. MATERA has brought together an active network. So far three joint calls for industry, universities and research centre have been launched. The most recent call was MATERA+ Call with an option of additional EC financial support.

MANUNET : MANUNET promotes European cooperation between national and regional programmes in manufacturing. Three Calls for proposals have been already launched. In January the 4th Call will be launched. MANUNET Call are mainly focused on SMEs.

NanoSci-ERA: NanoSci-ERA is a Consortium of 17 national research agencies from 12 countries in the European REsearch Area (ERA) whose objective is the coordination of the national policies in fundamental research at the nanometric scale.

ERASME : EraSME offers a combined European approach to strengthen and enhance the competitive capacity of SMEs by means of:

• initiating collaboration between SMEs from different countries and regions.
• helping SMEs to link up with those RTOs that can provide help in tackling the SMEs' unique research challenges.
• increasing the cooperative and competitive capability of SMEs to work in international Research and Development (R&D) networks.
• expanding the ability of RTOs to cooperate with European SMEs.

European Technology Platforms (ETPs):

MINAM : Covering more then 600 members from 36 countries and continuously growing, the platform acts as an exchange forum for the topics of industrial micro and nano manufacturing: materials, equipment, components. It aims to support industry growth in this new field by the development of a common R&D and education strategy and by enabling close cooperation of e.g. SME, Industry, Research Institutions, NGOs and Public Boddies.

EPoSS : EPoSS, the European Technology Platform on Smart Systems Integration, is an industry-driven policy initiative, defining R&D and innovation needs as well as policy requirements related to Smart Systems Integration and integrated Micro- and Nanosystems. EPoSS is contributing to the Lisbon Strategy, aiming at boosting economic growth, creating more and better jobs and ensuring sustainable prosperity in Europe.

MANUFUTURE : The EuropeanTechnology Platform On Future Manufacturing Technologies. Manufuture mission is to propose, develop and implement a strategy based on Research and Innovation, capable of speeding up the rate of industrial transformation to high-added-value products, processes and services, securing high-skills employment and winning a major share of world Manufacturing output in the future knowledge-driven economy.

EuMAT : European Technology Platform for Advanced Materials and Technologies. Main objective of EuMaT is to produce: The Strategic Research Agenda which, with appropriate involvement of industry and other main stakeholders will provide basis for

• identification of needs and
• establishing priorities

in the area of advanced materials and technologies.

NMP NCP Network:

NMP NCP Network is the main provider of guidance, practical information and individual assistance of participation in the thematic priority "Nanocscience, nanotechnologies, materials & new production technologies (NMP)" of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). The Network includes the National Contact Points (NCPs) from all 27 EU member states and associated states as well as NMP third country contacts.

NMP TeAm project aims at an improved NMP NCP service across Europe to the benefit of the scientific and industrial community engaged in European research and technological development. This will be achieved through closer collaborations between the NMP NCPs in Europe and beyond and normalisation of the differences in knowledge and improvemnent in the quality of provided services across the NCP Network. To this effect the project objectives are to:

• Create an interactive partner search system and website open to all its clients
• Maximise networking opportunities for its clients throgh brokerage events, joint stands and joint awareness campaigns
• Stabdardise the Network skills and provided services though documentation as well as through training actions
• Forge stronger links with all NMP related platforms, networks and EU initiatives in Europe.
